ANKA works with members, and Art Centres’ governing boards and staff in the following six core service areas:

The Art Centre Sustainability Plan gives further detail of support in key areas including: HR and recruitment; governance; financial and business management; and via ANKA’s secure offsite data backup service. ANKA aims to work together proactively with Art Centres to strengthen business and reduce need for crisis assistance.
As the peak body, ANKA also works intensely with Art Centres in times of transition or organisational crisis. For example, organising emergency response when Warmun Art Centre was submerged by flood water in 2011, or with hands-on support in intervals between managers.
The Training and Development Support Program (TADS) is a responsive service providing targeted support for one-off initiatives deemed important by Art Centre boards. Its ground-up approach acknowledges the varying needs of different Art Centres and regions and strength of local approaches.
